A short sci-fi comedy about two robots
Robots: Trapped in Space blends light-hearted storytelling with expressive 3D character animation. Instead of focusing on large-scale battles or high-stakes sci-fi drama, the project centers on two machines whose biggest obstacle is simply learning to cooperate
Red and Blue share a single goal: escape the planet. But their personalities collide from the moment they begin. Small disagreements quickly turn into sharp comments, frustration, and a cycle of blaming each other for every setback. Their attempts to repair equipment or reach the launch point only make their conflict worse, until they both realize that leaving the planet is impossible without genuine cooperation.
All character animation and modeling were created in Blender, focusing on mechanical motion, timing, and expressive body language. Unity was used to build the planet environment, set up lighting, establish cinematic camera paths, and assemble the final scenes. The project experiments with stylized lighting, floating dust, subtle secondary motion, and a pacing style inspired by physical comedy.
